SPECIAL PROJECTS

BEHIND THE EMBARGO

As a graduate student at the Northeastern University School of Journalism, I spent my spring break in 2019 as the photo editor for a group of student journalists in Havana, Cuba. When we returned, we made a website showcasing our work, some of which was also featured in the GroundTruth Project. I managed a visuals team including three other photographers and helped with the site’s design.

UNDER THE RADAR

I spent Spring 2019 producing a story about immigrants in the gig economy for one of my graduate classes at the Northeastern University School of Journalism in partnership with the Boston Globe. Although I worked with a team, I wrote much of the story and designed it in code. I also created all of the multimedia content, including the photos, the data visualization and the teaser video.
